As a client-centered Registered Psychotherapist, I aim to provide high-quality, evidence-based care that is effective and meets your individual needs. I am committed to providing a genuine, inclusive, safe space to explore and deepen understanding, emphasizing empowerment and empathy. I am passionate about working with adolescents and adults experiencing relational difficulties, depression, anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, and addictions. I have spent several years practicing counselling in a correctional mental health setting for incarcerated individuals so I can help those affected by the criminal justice system relating to trauma, the effects first responders face, and grief and loss. I am here to promote resiliency and strength.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling with anxiety or depression, dealing with difficult life changes, or simply looking for support and self-improvement, therapy can be incredibly helpful. Many people seek therapy to better understand themselves and their relationships, work through emotional challenges, or cope with stress. If you’re unsure, we encourage you to schedule an initial consultation to explore how therapy could benefit you.

  • We work with individuals across a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, including:

    • Teens (13+): We help young people navigate the complexities of adolescence, including school stress, identity exploration, peer relationships, family dynamics, and mental health challenges.

    • Adults: We provide support to adults facing a variety of life issues, from career transitions and relationship struggles to anxiety, trauma, depression, and personal growth.

    • Couples therapy: We aim to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen their emotional bond. The goal is to foster understanding, promote empathy, and help couples develop effective tools for maintaining a strong, supportive partnership.

    • Older Adults/Seniors: Therapy for older adults often focuses on navigating life transitions, coping with loss, managing health concerns, and finding purpose in later years.

    • LGBTQS+ and Non-Binary Individuals: We specialize in providing affirming therapy for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, offering support with identity exploration, discrimination, relationship challenges, and building self-acceptance.

    • Veterans: We work with veterans to process trauma, deal with post-service challenges, and support mental health issues like PTSD, anxiety, and reintegration into civilian life.

    • First Responders: Whether you’re a police officer, firefighter, paramedic, or EMT, we understand the unique pressures and emotional toll of first responder work. Therapy can help you process trauma, manage stress, and address the emotional strain of the job, while supporting your overall mental health and resilience.

Each client is unique, and we take a personalized approach to ensure the therapy is relevant to your individual needs and goals.

  • We do not bill insurance companies directly. After each session, we provide you with a detailed receipt, which you can then submit to your insurance company. Please check with your insurance provider to ensure you have Psychotherapy coverage with a Registered Psychotherapist.

  • We accept credit cards, debit cards, and e-transfer. We are happy to discuss payment options with you when you reach out.

  • We offer 45-minute and 90-minute therapy sessions, depending on your needs and preferences. Most clients begin with 45-minute sessions, but some may find that longer, 90-minute sessions provide a more in-depth exploration of their concerns. We will work with you to determine the session length that best supports your goals and therapeutic progress.

  • Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. Everything discussed in your sessions is private and will not be shared without your consent, except in certain situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or as required by law. We will review confidentiality in detail at the beginning of your therapy journey.

  • The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some clients may experience significant improvement in just a few sessions, while others may need ongoing support over a longer period. We will regularly evaluate your progress together and adjust the frequency and duration of sessions as needed to meet your goals.

  • We understand that life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 48 hours notice to avoid the cancellation fee (full session price). We will do our best to accommodate your schedule and find another time for your session. We use the Jane App so you have the flexibility to manage your bookings.
